Associate Minister
Rev. William J. Thompson Jr.
Rev. William J. Thompson Jr., originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, is a dedicated servant of Jesus Christ with a rich background in ministry, teaching, and leadership. He graduated from Schenley High School in 1971 and committed his life to Christ in 1994 at Petra International Ministries, where he was promptly baptized. Around 2010, he began to serve diligently as one of the church’s Deacons.
In 2012, Rev. Thompson embarked on pastoral studies at Greater Works School of Ministry in Monroeville, Pennsylvania. After five years of committed study, he graduated in 2017 from the GWBS School of Theology and was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel. That same year, he was honored with the role of Elder at Petra International Ministries.
By spring 2018, following the completion of additional required studies, he was ordained as Rev. William J. Thompson. Later that year, he received an invitation to join the teaching staff at Greater Works School of Ministry, where he began mentoring and training future ministers.
Rev. Thompson has preached at Enon Baptist Church in Pittsburgh, guided by Pastor Ray Harper. In 2022, he joined Tree of Life Christian Ministries in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, under Head Pastors Jimmy and Sheila Moffett, furthering his lifelong dedication to preaching, teaching, and serving within the body of Christ.
